Program Requirements (Minimum of 9 semester hours required.)
Study and application of operations and global supply chain management principles in manufacturing and service industries. Students learn how to create value and achieve operational efficiency and optimize profitability through local and global supply chains. Focus on tools, techniques, and smart methods to efficiently manage inventory, quality control, and forecasting; design supply chain networks and business processes; and develop statistical quality controls, products, and services.
Analyze the effects of inefficient supply chain management on an organization’s overall strength and performance. Identify and solve supply chain problems, develop a strategy, and ensure sustainability. Innovative and efficient supply chain management is emphasized in order to create a competitive advantage. Managing operations and supply chains according to the best practices. Prerequisites: SCM 6220
Supply chain analytics is on analyzing data in order to improve business processes. This course focuses on the core concepts and tools necessary to ensure smooth operations of business processes. An emphasis will be placed on analytics, supply chain improvement models, forecasting analytics, and inventory management. Prerequisites: SCM 6220
