Mission Statement

        The Madonna University Library faculty and staff aim to further the mission of the university “to instill in its students Christian humanistic values, intellectual inquiry, and a commitment to serving others. . .”  The Library faculty and staff not only strive to make quality resources available to students, faculty, and staff, but also to provide research assistance and instruction in an atmosphere that reflects Christian service and values.

          In order to achieve these ends, the Library faculty and staff pursue the following objectives:

·         Identify and collect materials in cooperation with faculty colleagues.

·         Organize materials to maximize retrieval and usage.

·         Instruct users in research methods and the evaluation of sources.

·         Assist in determining the availability of information as well as identifying and obtaining resources not available in the Madonna Library.

·         Present instructional sessions to assist students in using the Library’s resources efficiently and effectively.

          The Library faculty and staff invite the university community to explore and discover the wealth of the Library’s resources.
