“Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it.”
Samuel Johnson, 1709-1784
Things to Consider-----
On Sunday, February 24, 2008 the Detroit Free Press contained the insert: Michigan College Finder. One of the articles in this publication is titled “Planning a College Visit.” Among the recommendations suggested for a critical review of the college was; “Check out the library. What resources are available to you for future assignments and projects? Will these resources fit the research need of your major?”
The Madonna University Library has an excellent collection of books, journals, audio/visual materials, electronic databases and services to meet our patrons’ needs. We have a staff of professional librarians to assist library patrons with research questions and development of research topics. The library offers inter-library loan and reciprocal borrowing with several area libraries. If Madonna Library doesn’t own a specific book or journal, it can be obtained from another library for our patrons use.
The Madonna University Library is confident that any prospective student will find that this library can fulfill all academic information needs of the students, the faculty and the staff. Come explore and take advantage of this wonderful resource for learning.
Time
is flying
Time is short. Finals are just around the corner. Research papers are due. The baby is crying. Dirty dishes are piling up in the sink. Laundry is piling up. The husband is watching sports on TV. The kids are wrecking the house. The wife is complaining. The phone won’t stop ringing. The roommate is having a party. Mom is upset with the messy room. Dad is fussing about the bills. The boss assigned work to be completed at home. The dog made a mess. The computer is down. Life is hectic.
10 reasons why you might want to use the Madonna University Library as a refuge and a place to focus on your goal.
