            Meet Tony Panepucci, the Privy Historian.  Tony excavates behind old houses in Michigan and finds all sorts of historical items.  Old outhouses prove to be valuable “digs” and provide a wealth of cultural information.  Tony discusses his work and displays a variety of artifacts he has found.  Tony recently conducted a dig at Greenmead Historical Park in Livonia.

            Meet the editor of Know Your Ships, 50th Anniversary Edition, Roger LeLievreKnow Your Ships is a well-illustrated guide to boats & boat watching on the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway.  Roger will discuss the origins of this yearly publication, self-publishing and a special discussion of the freighter, Edmund Fitzgerald, which sank in Lake Superior in November, 1975.  Copies of Know Your Ships will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

            Meet the author, Mary Desjarlais and the photographer, Bill Rauhauer, collaborators on two great books: Detroit Revisited and Beauty on the Streets of Detroit.  Take a trip down memory lane and view life in Detroit during the twentieth century with the book Detroit Revisited.  Learn about the history of housing in Detroit from the Huron Indians to the future in the book: Beauty on the Streets of Detroit. Each book is beautifully photographed and will be available for sale and book-signing by the author and photographer.
