Crusaders Go To 2-0 In WHAC With Road Win

The Madonna women's soccer team improved to 2-0 in WHAC play with a 4-1 win at
Concordia on Tuesday. MU (4-2 overall) got goals from Diana Brda, Dina Allie and
two from Jessica Austin in the win.
Brda got
the scoring going just 14:56 into the contest as she took a pass from Allie and
found the back netting for the second time this season.
CU tied
the match at one just under four minutes later but Austin untied it in 32
seconds later at the 18:55 mark as the junior from Livonia took a pass from Brda
and beat the Cards' Kelly Wurzell to make it 2-1 MU.
Allie made
it 3-1 with her first goal of the season at the 19:14 mark of the match
unassisted. Rachael Thompson then fed Austin for the forward's fifth goal of the
young season in the 39th minute to complete the scoring.
Brit
Warner made three saves before giving way to Macie Carevic who saw her first
collegiate action, making one save in just over 30 minutes of action.
The
Crusaders return to action on Saturday as part of a men's and women's double
header at Davenport. The women get the day going at Noon with the men to follow
at 2:30pm.
