BOX SCORE

Grand Rapids, Mich. - - Andrea Johnson's goal just 8:22 into the match was more than enough as the Madonna women's soccer team rolled to a 4-0 at Aquinas on Friday. MU is now 3-2 on the year and 1-0 in loop action while AQ fell to 1-3 overall, 0-1 in WHAC play.

Johnson took a feed from fellow senior Ashley Stoychoff and beat AQ's Kelsey Duley to make it 1-0 MU. Stoychoff then made it 2-0 at the 34:51 mark, taking a Jessica Austin pass and beating Duley for a 2-0 lead.

Just before the intermission Austin did the work herself, beating Duley unassisted at the 42:29 mark for a 3-0 lead.

The Crusaders continued to pepper the AQ net with shots in the second half and Austin made it 4-0 after taking a pass from keeper Brit Warner and breaking through the AQ back line for the fourth MU tally and her fifth point of the day.

Warner had to make just one save in the match for her second shut out of the season.

The Crusaders stay in conference for their next contest, facing off with Concordia on Wednesday at Greenmead Field at 4pm.
