Ryan Mathe recorded his first career shutout as MU defeated Concordia 2-0 on Saturday.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Junior goal keeper Ryan Mathe (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ypsilanti Lincoln HS) recorded his first career shutout as Madonna earned a 2-0 win over Concordia at Rummel Field in Ann Arbor on Saturday afternoon.

Mathe recorded four saves en route to his second win in goal for the Crusaders (7-2-2).

Sophomore midfielder
Doron Drai (Kfar-Yona, Israel) recorded the game winner in the 17th minute after heading in his fourth goal of the season off assists from Darrel Quinn (Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville HS) and Pat Griffin (Redford, Mich./Catholic Central HS).

Madonna added an insurance goal in the 39th minute after freshman
Humberto Toscan (Francisco Beltrao, Brazil/Berkley HS) netted his first career goal with assist from Griffin and Drai.

Madonna posted 30 total shots, including 15 on target with 19 corner kicks.  Concordia (0-7-1) recorded only three shots, including two on net and zero corner kicks.  The Crusaders were charged with 20 fouls, including two cautions, while the Cardinals received 16 fouls and two cautions.

Madonna will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 in a road game in Grand Rapids at 4:00 p.m. (ET) against Aquinas.
