BOX SCORE

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Madonna men's soccer team picked up a 1-1 tie with Holy Names (CA) at the Point Loma Nazarene Soccer Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore defender
Cory Maupin (Linden, MI/Linden HS) provided the lone goal for the Crusaders in the first half.  Maupin's unassisted goal against Holy Names marks the first of his career as a Crusader.

Madonna had plenty of chances to net another goal, including a missed penalty kick in overtime, but were unsuccessful as Holy Names held on for the draw.

The Crusaders will return to action on Monday in the final game of the Point Loma Nazarene Soccer Tournament in a 1:00 p.m. (ET) contest with #23 Bellevue (Neb.).
