Mudri Named Preseason All-WHAC; Crusaders Picked 4th

		Derrick Mudri led the Crusaders in both scoring and rebounding en route to being named 2nd Team All-WHAC in 2005-06.

LIVONIA, Mich. -- Madonna senior forward Derrick Mudri (Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville HS) was named to the 2006-07 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball preseason All-Conference team in a press release on Monday afternoon.

Mudri earned Second Team All-WHAC honors following the 2005-06 season after averaging 14.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game to lead the Crusaders.

Cornerstone’s Jon Jonker and Aquinas’ Jeff Jayson were named WHAC Preseason Co-Players of the Year.

Indiana Tech, the recipient of four of the seven first-place votes, and Cornerstone, the recipient of three of the seven first-place votes, were selected as the top preseason picks for the 2006-07 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Basketball season, as determined by a vote of the head coaches.

Madonna received 32 overall points and was selected to finish fourth in the upcoming season. 

The Crusaders are set to begin the upcoming season on Saturday, Nov. 4 in a 3:00 p.m. (ET) non-conference tilt at Spring Arbor University.
