Oscar Tabbed To Scholar Athlete Team

Mo.
– The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced
on Thursday that Madonna junior golfer Elliot Oscar (Reedsburg, Wisc.)
has been selected to the 2008 Daktronics All-American Scholar Athlete team.
To be selected for this
honor, a student-athlete must posses a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point
average and be a junior or senior in academic standing at his/her institution of
higher learning.
Oscar, a transfer from
Mississippi State who is majoring in marketing, just completed his first season
with the Crusaders. In 13 rounds this season, Oscar averaged 83.5 strokes per
round. His best outing of the season came at the sixth WHAC Jamboree of the fall
when he carded a 72, good for 10th place in the final standings.
As a team, the Crusaders
finished third in the final WHAC standings and lose just two letter winners from
this year's club.
