Andrea Johnson netted her first career goal in MU's 3-0 win over Aquinas on Tuesday afternoon.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Sophomore defender Andrea Johnson (Canton, Mich./Canton HS) netted her first career goal in Madonna's 3-0 win over Aquinas on Tuesday afternoon in Grand Rapids.

Johnson scored at the 24:40 mark in the first half off assists from
Caitlin Boyak (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson HS) and Kati Germane (Hartland, Mich./Hartland HS)

Senior forward
Kelly Japowicz (Harper Woods, Mich./Grosse Pointe North HS) scored an unassisted goal at the 46:20 mark of the second half to give Madonna a 2-0 lead.

Sophomore midfielder
Samantha Fugate (Laingsburg, Mich./Laingsburg HS) capped off the Crusaders scoring at the 63:06 mark of the second half off an assist from Diane Foley (Taylor, Mich./Riverview Gabriel Richard HS).

The Crusaders recorded a total of 21 shots, including 12 on goal with four corner kicks.  Aquinas posted 10 total shots, including two on target and two corner kicks.

The Crusader return to action on Friday, Oct. 13 in a 4:00 p.m. (ET) game in Fort Wayne, Indiana against Indiana Tech.
