Senior forward
Kelly Japowicz
(Harper Woods, MI/Grosse Pointe North HS) netted three goals
against Davenport as the Crusaders stayed unbeaten in league play
with a 5-0 win on Saturday.
Freshman
Alana Lavery
(Livonia, MI/Stevenson HS) and sophomore
Samantha Fugate
(Laingsburg, MI/Laingsburg HS) each scored a goal to cap the
Crusaders scoring on the afternoon.
Madonna improves to 8-2-2 overall and 6-0-1 in league play.
The Crusaders also claim sole possession of first place in the
league standings, leading Cornerstone by three points after the
Golden Eagles had a bye in league play this week.
The Crusaders will host Cornerstone on Tuesday (Oct. 3) at Greenmead
Field in a battle between the top two conference squads at 4:00 p.m.
