Kaila Moore scored the game winner at the 52:22 mark of the second half to give Madonna a 1-0 win over Aquinas.

LIVONIA, Mich. -- Freshman Kaila Moore (Howell, MI/Howell HS) scored the game winning goal in Madonna’s 1-0 win against Aquinas College on Saturday afternoon at Greenmead Field.

Moore scored at the 52:22 mark in the second half after a pass from Dina Allie (Livonia, MI/Stevenson HS) found its way through the box and Moore buried the ball into the back of the net.  The second half goal was Moore’s second of the season and only shot recorded on the day.

Madonna kept the offensive pressure on Aquinas throughout the match as it finished with 18 total shots, including eight shots on goal, and two corner kicks.  The Crusaders were paced offensively by Kelly Japowicz's (Harper Woods, MI/Grosse Pointe North HS) five shots, including three on net.  Allie added four shots for MU, including one on goal.

Junior goalkeeper Traci Anderson (Brighton, MI/Brighton HS) saved four shots and recorded her fourth shutout of the season.

The Crusaders look to extend their unbeaten streak to six games when they host Indiana Tech on Tuesday, September 19, at Greenmead Field.
