Caitlin Boyak started off the scoring for MU on Tuesday's win over Concordia.

LIVONIA, Mich. -- The No. 12 Madonna University women's soccer team used the strength of four second half goals to defeat Concordia University, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Greenmead Field.

Traci Anderson (Brighton, MI/Brighton HS) wrapped up her second clean sheet of the season after stopping four shots in the 90-minute contest.

Caitlin Boyak (Livonia, MI/Stevenson HS) started the scoring for Madonna at the 50:21 mark in the second half.  Diane Foley (Taylor, MI/Riverview Gabriel Richard HS) crossed the ball from the right touch line into the box and it was headed on by Kelly Japowicz (Harper Woods, MI/Grosse Pointe North HS) before Boyak one-touched the ball past Concordia's goal keeper.

Japowicz would notch her seventh goal of the season after a pass from
Dina Allie (Livonia, MI/Stevenson HS) was collected by Japowicz and knocked into the back of the net, giving the Crusaders a 2-0 lead at the 53:49 mark in the second half.

Allie would score a goal of her own after a
Lauren Hess (Livonia, MI/Ladywood HS) cross was one-touched at the top of the box by Allie into the upper corner of the net at the 78:37 mark.

Samantha Fugate (Laingsburg, MI/Laingsburg HS) buried her first goal of the season at the 81:32 mark in the second  half to cap off the scoring for the Crusaders.

Madonna (4-2-2) dominated the game offensively, recording 30 shots, including 17 on goal and seven corner kicks.  Concordia (3-3-0)  posted seven shots, including four on goal.  The Crusaders recorded 15 fouls while Concordia were charged with eight fouls, including one yellow card.

The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, September 16, in a 12:00 p.m. (ET) conference tilt against Aquinas College at Greenmead Field.
