Pair of Crusaders Named to WHAC First Team

Ashley Stoychoff was named to the All-WHAC first team |
GRAND RAPIDS,
Mich.
– The 2007 WHAC women's soccer all-conference teams were announced today
with 11 Madonna Crusaders earning accolades, highlighted by Lauren Hess and
Ashley Stoychoff's first-team selections.
Hess and Stoychoff were first and
second in goals for MU this season with five and four respectively.
Joining the pair
on the all-conference list was second-team selection Gina Leone and a trio of
honorable mention honorees, Rachaelle Mirto, Andrea Johnson and Lia Melasi.
WHAC Coaches
selected Johnson to represent MU on the Champions of Character team, honoring
athletes displaying the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character
initiative.
Four Crusaders
were named to the All-Academic team, honoring juniors and seniors with a 3.25 or
higher cumulative grade point average. Making the grade were Dina Allie (education),
Traci Anderson (education), Andrea Muscat (Pre-Engineering), Johnson (integrated science), Mirto
(English/education) and Stoychoff
(education).
