Bender Becomes Seventh Addition For '08

Trisha Bender (pictured) has signed with the women's soccer program at Madonna.

LIVONIA, Mich. - - Madonna women’s soccer coach Paul Thomas announced today that he has signed Trisha Bender to a letter of intent. Bender (Commerce, Mich.) will continue her academic and athletic careers at Madonna University starting this fall.

“Trisha is a great addition to our program,” said Thomas following the signing. “She will fit in well with our team and can help us anywhere, in the back or up front as a scorer. We are looking forward to her joining us this fall in our quest for a WHAC title.”

Bender is in her fourth season on the varsity side at Walled Lake Northern High School. She is also a member of the Bloomfield Force club program that advanced to the 2007 and 2008 state quarterfinals.

Last season MU advanced to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference semi-finals for the second straight season.
