Assistant Coach Andi Fron

9th Year at Madonna

Andi Fron returns for her ninth season as an assistant coach on the Madonna staff. She has been a crucial part of the success the women’s basketball program has enjoyed the past several seasons. Andi’s main responsibilities include perimeter coach, game scheduling and logistical planning for the Crusaders travels.

Fron is a Dearborn Divine Child High School graduate where she played both basketball and softball for the Falcons. Following her high school days, Fron attended Ferris State University where she played basketball, captaining the Bulldog squad for two seasons. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems in 1986.
Following her college graduation, Coach Fron began her coaching career as the freshman coach and varsity assistant at Bloomfield Hills Marian High School, under the direction of head coach Mary Cicerone. During her ten-year stay at Marian, the Mustangs earned six Catholic League titles and Class A State Championships in 1988, 1992 and 1996. In addition to coaching basketball, Fron assisted with the Divine Child High School softball team for eight years.

Andi’s parents, Edward and Carol Fron, have retired from Michigan to St. Pete Beach, Florida. They’ve enjoyed watching Madonna play during the team’s trip’s to Florida. Her sisters Gayle and Susan reside in Atlanta, Georgia. Susan has assisted the Madonna team by uniquely personalizing a basketball for any player who reaches the 1,000-point mark in their Madonna career.

Coach Fron has been employed as a supervisor in the Information Technology Office of Ford Motor Credit Company for the past 17 years. She resides in Dearborn, Michigan.
