OLIVET, Mich.
-- The Madonna women's basketball team faced an eight-point
advantage (38-30) at the half before outscoring Olivet 40-24 in the
second half en route to a 70-62 non-conference win on Wednesday
night at the Upton Center.
Junior forward
Martina Franklin
(Redford, Mich./Redford Union HS) led the Crusaders (3-6)
with 17 points and seven rebounds. Senior forward
Diane Foley (Taylor,
Mich./Riverview Gabriel Richard HS) posted two career highs with
16 points and six rebounds in the winning cause.
Madonna held Olivet (2-3) to just .385 (20-of-52) shooting from the
floor, while the Crusaders shot at a .429 (27-of-63) clip in the
win.
Audrey Graham led all scorers with 19 points for the Comets.
Madonna will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 6 in a
non-conference contest with Marygrove at the Activities Center at
7:00 p.m. (ET)
