GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.
-- The Madonna women's basketball team lost their third consecutive
contest after 18th-ranked Bethel handed the Crusaders an 88-62 loss
on Saturday afternoon in day two of competition at the WHAC/MCC
Challenge in Grand Rapids.
Madonna was without leading scorer Martina
Franklin (Redford, Mich./Redford Union HS), yet
received 21 points from sophomore Alyssa
Guerin (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth Salem HS).
Junior guard Rebecca Rufli
(Fenton, Mich./Linden HS) chipped in a career high 16 points off
the bench for Madonna.
The Crusaders fall to 2-6 overall and will have a week to rest
before returning to action on Saturday, Nov. 25 in a non-conference
tilt at Urbana. Tip off with the Blue Knights is scheduled for
2:00 p.m. (ET)
