LIVONIA, Mich.

The first weekly basketball awards were announced for the WHAC today
with Madonna University cagers sweeping the honors. DJ Bridges and
Martina Franklin are the first
two to take home Player of
the Week accolades.
Franklin, a junior forward
from Redford, Michigan averaged a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds
in two games for the Crusaders. Helping lead her team to a 1-1 week,
Franklin scored 18 points with 13 boards in a
losing effort versus Spring Arbor then scored a team high 20 points while
snagging 13 rebounds in MU's 51-48 win over Purdue-Calumet.
