basketball team hosted the Crusaders' alumni in a game on Friday
night. |
LIVONIA, Mich.

The Madonna women’s basketball team
welcomed back some of the all-time Crusader greats in the annual
alumni game Friday night. Current Crusader freshman
Stephanie Piotrowski
(Petersburg, Mich./Ida HS) lit up the scoreboard with
22 points in the 70-50 victory for the 2006-07
squad.
The Crusader alumni squad
featured several former Crusaders, and were led on the bench by the
winningest coach in MU women’s basketball history,
Marylou Jansen and longtime assistant coaches
Andi Fron and
Jack Benitez.
The squad featured players
from the mid 1990’s all the way to last years seniors.
Marwa Ayoub and
Mary Murray paced the alumni offensive attack.
The 2006-07 Crusaders and
first year head coach Carl Graves will
make their regular season debut Wednesday, November 1st at 7:00
p.m. (ET) when they host Rochester college in the
Activities Center.
