to NAIA All-America Team

LIVONIA, Mich.
-- Madonna University junior forward
Martina Franklin (Redford, Mich./Redford Union HS)
was named to the 2007 NAIA Division II women's basketball
All-America team in a statement released by the NAIA today (March
14,2007).
Franklin helped guide the Crusaders to a 15-18 overall record this
season and a trip to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC)
tournament championship game.
A first-team
all-conference selection, Franklin averaged a team-high 17.9 points
and 9.3 rebounds per game.
She was also the team
leader in blocked shots with 31 and became the school's career
leader in blocks along the way.
Franklin also surpassed
the 1,000 career-point mark in an 84-70 loss at Concordia February
17th. She became just the eighth women's basketball player in
Madonna history to reach the feat.
Franklin is one of six
WHAC players on the NAIA All-America squad for 2007, led by
first-team selection Jeanette Woodberry of Davenport University.
