CALEDONIA, Mich. -- The Madonna women's basketball team dropped their second straight game after Davenport capitalized on a 16-4 run to open the second half on their way to an 84-73 win over the Crusaders in Caledonia Saturday afternoon.

Madonna (8-16 overall) trailed 41-38 at the half, but was unable to slow the multiple three-point shooting threats on the Davenport (18-6 overall) side.

Junior forward
Martina Franklin (Redford, Mich./Redford Union HS) led the Crusaders with 19 points and junior Caryn Inman (Oxford, Mich./Oxford HS) added 18 points in the loss.

The Crusaders will return to action Wednesday, Jan. 31 in a 7:30 p.m. tip off against visiting Indiana Tech at the Activities Center.
