LIVONIA, Mich.
-- New Boston Huron high school senior Sarah Erwin inked a letter of
intent today (Jan. 18/07) to attend Madonna University and play
basketball.
The 6-3 center is the
fourth signed player in coach Carl Graves' 2007-08 recruiting class.
"I couldn't be happier
to be here today adding Sarah to our program," Graves stated.
"We believe she can be an impact for us in the post right away.
Her height and shot-blocking ability will really add to our team
next season."
Erwin is a three-year
varsity letterwinner at Huron under head coach Brent Rodak. As
a senior, she averaged four points and 5.6 rebounds per contest
while swatting nearly four opponent shots per game.
Erwin led the Huron
League in blocked shots as a senior and was named to the Huron
League All-Conference team.
The daughter of Robert
Erwin and Cheryl Bush is also heavily involved in student council
and National Honor Society. She is also a four-year
principal's Honor Roll member and Vice President of her senior
class.
Erwin will enroll in
Madonna for the fall of 2007 and pursue a degree in education.
