GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.
-- The Madonna women's basketball team dropped a 70-58 decision at
Cornerstone Wednesday night.
Christie Carrico
(Waterford, Mich./Waterford Mott HS) led all scorers with 18
points and grabbed nine rebounds in the loss for Madonna.
The Crusaders forced 18 turnovers, but shot only 35-percent from the
field (20-of-58) and just 24-percent from downtown (7-for-29).
Cali Crawford
(Rochester, Mich./Oakland Christian Academy) added 11 points
for the Crusaders, including nine from the charity stripe.
Madonna trailed by only one point at halftime (27-26), but
Cornerstone outscored the Crusaders 43-32 in the final period of
play.
The Crusaders will return to the court Saturday, Jan. 20th in a 1:00
p.m. tip at the Activities Center against Siena Heights.
