Madonna Picks Up First League Win at Indiana Tech

		MU head coach Carl Graves picked up his first career conference win after the Crusaders upended Indiana Tech on Saturday.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Madonna women's basketball team picked up their first conference win of the season after defeating Indiana Tech 76-71 on Saturday.

Madonna received career highs from Lindsay Klemmer (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth Salem HS) and Stephanie Piotrowski (Petersburg, Mich./Ida HS) who scored 26 and 24 points respectively.

Sophomore forward Christie Carrico (Waterford, Mich./Waterford Mott HS) posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for MU.  Sophomore Alyssa Guerin (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth Salem HS) added 13 points in the win for the Crusaders.

The Crusaders shot 52% (22-of-57) from the floor, including 39% (12-of-23) from beyond the arc.  Madonna limited Indiana Tech to shoot only 38% (27-of-72) from the field, and just 10% (2-for-20) from behind the three-point line.

The Crusaders will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 10 in a WHAC contest against Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Activities Center.
