Inman Leads List of All-Conference Honrees
Caryn Inman was named to the All-WHAC first team by league coaches Wednesday.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - - In a vote of the eight Conference coaches, Madonna senior guard/forward Caryn Inman (Oxford, Mich.) was selected to the all-WHAC first team in a statement released today.  Inman is one of five Crusaders honored, joining second team selection Christie Carrico (Waterford, Mich.), third teamer Tabatha Wydryck (Riverview, Mich.) and Champions of Character selection Stephanie Day (Livonia, Mich.).

Wydryck was also named to the league's All-Newcomer team while Inman and fellow seniors Day and Becca Rufli (Fenton, Mich.) were tabbed academic all-conference selections.

Inman is averaging 13.3 points per-game, good for fifth among all league players while also hauling in 7.9 rebounds per game, good for third.

Carrico makes her second straight appearance on the all-conference list after earning second team honors last season.

Wydryck is the 13th leading scorer in the league as a freshman, averaging 10.5 points and ranks 15th in blocked shots and 16th in assists per game while placing fifth in steals per game.

Day was named by league coaches to the Champions of Character team, given to players who best exemplify the NAIA's five core values of respect, responsibility, servant leadership, integrity and sportsmanship. A fire science and math major, Day was also named to the academic all-conference team.

Inman, a biology and education major and Rufli, a television and video communication major were both selected to the All-Academic squad, given to juniors and seniors with a 3.25 or higher cumulative grade point average.

All five all-conference players will be in action Thursday night when the #4-seed Crusaders host #5-seed Concordia in the first round of the 2008 WHAC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament in the Activities Center.  Game time is set for 7:30 pm.
