Crusaders Sweep Season Series From Tech
Caryn Inman had 13 points and nine rebounds in MU's win at Indiana Tech on Wednesday night.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Madonna University women’s basketball team came out on top in a big conference contest Wednesday night (Jan. 20), claiming a 66-43 victory over Indiana Tech.  Freshman Tabitha Wydryck (Riverview, Mich.) led the charge with a game high 15 points while senior Caryn Inman (Oxford, Mich.) added 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Crusaders (10-12, 5-3 WHAC) opened the game with an 11-0 run en route to their third conference road victory of the season.  The Warriors (1-22, 1-7 WHAC), have now dropped four straight conference games since snapping a season high 18 game losing skid to start the year.

Madonna shot 36.8-percent from the floor in the contest while Indiana Tech shot at a .378 clip.  The Crusaders built a 37-19 halftime lead and outscored the Warriors 29-24 in the second stanza.  Madonna was also big on the boards, out-rebounding the home team 51-32 and 23-5 on the offensive glass.

Madonna will return home to face Aquinas College on Saturday (Feb. 2) in a battle to stay in third place. The game is set for a 1 p.m. start at the Activities Center and can be heard live on the Crusaders Internet Radio Network.
