ADRIAN, Mich.

conference victory, 78-69 over Siena Heights University Saturday
afternoon (Jan. 19) in the SHU Fieldhouse. Led by four players who

(Waterford, Mich./Waterford Mott HS), who scored a game high
27 points, the Crusaders (8-11 overall, 3-2 WHAC) overcame a
nine-point first-half deficit for the win.
Senior Caryn Inman
(Oxford, Mich./Oxford HS) turned the tide, hitting a three-pointer with 1:17
to play in the first half that gave MU a 39-37 lead heading to the locker room,
a lead MU would never relinquish. Inman finished the game with 15 points and 13
rebounds.
Freshman
Tabatha
Wydryck (Riverview,
Mich./Gabriel Richard HS)
opened the second half with her first basket of the game, a three-pointer,
extending the MU lead to five. The Crusaders pushed that lead to as much as 13
points with just over three-minutes to play on another Wydryck bucket, giving MU
a 71-58 cushion. Wydryck scored 10 points on the day.
Siena Heights (10-10 overall;
1-4 WHAC) trimmed the lead to seven points, 76-69, on a field goal by Lauren
Crockett before being forced to foul to wind out the game.

Crawford (Rochester, MI/Oakland Christian HS) added 15 points, 11 of
those from the free-throw line and a team high six assists.
Siena
Heights had three
players reach double figures, led by Onicko Biggs’ double-double with 19 points
and 13 rebounds.
The win keeps MU locked in a
second place tie with Aquinas, a 94-54 winner over Indiana Tech Saturday.
