2005: Outlook
Spooner will again be a key contributor up front for the Crusaders in her junior season. A tireless worker, Spooner has improved her game each off season and looks to have her best season to date as a junior.

2004: Sophomore Season
Played in 139 games for the Crusaders .. missed four matches with a ankle injury toward the end of the season ... returned to the lineup for the postseason run ... tallied 163 kills in 368 attempts ... finished second on the team in blocks with 102 including 88 assists and 14 solos ... contributed 22 digs and seven set assists ... posted a season high eight kills twice, in back to back games versus Siena Heights and at Saginaw Valley State November 4th and 6th ... tied her carrer high of six blocks three times during the season, most recently versus St. Mary (NE) at the NAIA National Championships.



2003: Freshman Season
Contributed off the bench for the Crusaders as a true freshman in the middle ... saw action in 28 matches and 79 games ... got first career start vs. Biola (8/23/04) at Fort Lewis Tournament ... recorded four kills, one dig and a block in starting debut ... recorded first career kill and block versus Rochester College (8/22/04) ... posted first career dig vs. Biola (8/23/04) ... finished inaugural campaign with 80 kills in 194 attempts ...
tallied 39 total blocks on the season ... notched season and career high 10 kills in victory at Aquinas (10/7/04).

High School:
Four year varsity letterwinner in volleyball and basketball ... selected to the University of Michigan All-Tournament team as a freshman ... honorable mention All-Region selection as a sophomore ... as a junior, was selected to the First team All-Area and All-Downriver teams ... also named to the News-Herald All-Tournament team and tournament MVP ... as a senior, selected by her teammates as team captain ... first team All-League, All Region and Downriver Dream Team member ... also captained the basketball team her senior season ... numerous off-court activities where she carried a 3.9 GPA as a National Honor Society member ... also active as a peer mentor, Student Council Executive Board member and honor roll member.

Playing numerous positions in the front row, in her first two seasons, Heather has developed into a strong, smart hitter who has all the potential to elevate her over all game to the next level. She does everything a coach could ever want from a player. She is relentless towards training and conditioning and is determined to improve her all around skills. Heather is an excellent team playe,r who seems to respond best in pressure situations. She is coming off a most successful off season experience and is more confident than ever to make the 2005 campaign her best season. Has the ability and game experience to become one of our most productive blockers and the shot selection to attack from any front row position. The best is yet to come for this talented junior standout.”
