Whitney Fuelling recorded a team high 13 digs to help MU advance to the WHAC Tournament Championship game.

LIVONIA, Mich. -- Lubovj Tihomirova (Riga, Latvia/Rigas Gymnasia HS) and Caryn Inman (Oxford, Mich./Oxford HS) combined 29 kills while leading the seventh-ranked Crusaders to a 3-0 sweep over UM-Dearborn before a packed house at the Activities Center on Friday night in the semifinals of the WHAC Tournament.

The Crusaders advanced to the championship game to take on Cornerstone, which will be played on Saturday (Nov. 11) at 1:00 p.m. in the Activities Center.

Sophomore Whitney Fuelling (Milford, Mich./Milford HS) recorded a team high 13 digs and added seven kills for Madonna.

Freshman setter Inta Grinvalds (Portage, Mich./Portage Central HS) posted a game high 31 assists while guided the Crusaders to a .314 hitting percentage.

Madonna improves to 35-2 overall and will play for their chance to clinch three consecutive WHAC Tournament championships.

Earlier in the evening, Cornerstone defeated Indiana Tech 3-1 to advance to tomorrow's title game.

Indiana Tech and Michigan-Dearborn will meet in the consolation game at 11:00 a.m. in the Activities Center.
