LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced that Madonna freshman Inta Grinvalds (Portage, Mich./Portage Central HS) was named Setter of the Week in a press release on Monday afternoon.

Grinvalds helped the seventh-ranked Crusaders to a 2-0 mark on the week, with wins over Siena Heights and Michigan-Dearborn.

In Madonna's 3-1 win over Siena Heights (Oct. 17), Grinvalds posted 57 assists and guided the Crusaders to a .302 hitting percentage, while helping head coach Jerry Abraham pick up his 800th career win.

On Oct. 19, Grinvalds recorded 57 assists in the Crusaders' 3-2 win at Michigan-Dearborn.

Grinvalds and the league leading Crusaders will return to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in a 7:00 p.m. (ET) contest at Davenport in Grand Rapids.
