DEARBORN, Mich. --
The seventh-ranked Madonna volleyball
team picked up a hard fought 3-2 win over UM-Dearborn, by scores of
26-30, 30-22, 27-30, 30-16, 15-12, on Thursday night in Dearborn.
Senior middle hitter
Caryn Inman
(Oxford, Mich./Oxford HS) led Madonna with 26 kills and seven
total blocks. Sophomore outside hitter
Lubovj Tihomirova
(Riga, Latvia/Rigas Gymnasia HS) added 17 kills for the Crusaders
offensive effort.
Junior libero
Jacqui Gatt
(Livonia, Mich./Churchill HS) paced the MU defensive charge with
18 digs.
Freshman setter
Inta Grinvalds
(Portage, Mich./Portage Central HS) guided the Crusaders offense
with 57 assists in the win.
The Crusaders improve to 30-2 overall and will return to action on
Tuesday, Oct. 24, in a 7:00 p.m. (ET) tilt in Grand Rapids against
Davenport.
