LIVONIA, Mich. -- The 10th-ranked Madonna volleyball team defeated Concordia in convincing fashion on Friday nigh at the Activities Center.  The Crusaders (28-2) needed just 51 minutes to pick up a 3-0 win  over the Cardinals (4-23) by scores of 30-15, 30-11, 30-7.

Sophomore outside hitter Whitney Fuelling (Milford, Mich./Milford HS) led the Crusaders with a game high seven service aces in addition to eight kills against Concordia.

Senior Caryn Inman (Oxford, Mich./Oxford HS) and sophomore Lubovj Tihomirova (Riga, Latvia/Rigas Gymnasia HS) each posted 11 kills to lead the Crusaders.  Inman also posted a game high .444 hitting percentage in 18 chances.

Freshman setter Natalie Niblock (White Pigeon, Mich./White Pigeon HS) recorded 22 assists while guiding the Crusaders' offense to a .383 hitting percentage.

Madonna head coach Jerry Abraham moves one step closer to the 800 wins plateau, notching his 799th career victory in 20 years at the helm of the Crusaders program.

Madonna returns to the road for their next match, playing in Adrian against Siena Heights on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7:00 p.m. (ET).
