Madonna's
Caryn Inman
was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Volleyball
Player of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Leading the team to a 3-1
mark at the University of Great Falls Tournament in Great Falls, Montana last
weekend, Inman led the Crusaders in kills with 58 in 113 attempts. Inman tallied
double digit kills in each match and also recorded 24 total blocks.
Inman was one of two Madonna players named to the All-Tournament Team at Great
Falls.
As Madonna took No. 4
National American to four games, the senior from Oxford, Michigan posted 15
kills and five total blocks, including four block assists. In
a three-game sweep of Montana State-Northern, Inman
posted a team high 16 kills along with three defensive digs.
For the tournament, she
averaged 4.5 kills per game
with 1.8 blocks per game.
She now has 562 total blocks in her career, passing Laura
Lesko for seventh place on the all-time total blocks list at Madonna.
The
fifth-ranked Crusaders are 8-1 overall this season and will host the 7th Annual
Julie Martin Memorial Tournament beginning on Friday, September 8, in the
Activities Center.
