The Madonna University softball team has announced an early
commitment from high school senior
Tara LaMilza (St.
Clair Shores, Mich./Regina HS) for the 2008
season.
LaMilza is
coming off a junior season that saw her hit at a .321 clip with a lofty .683 on

All-State performer at second base with a .965 fielding average.
“Tara
is a very good ballplayer,” said Madonna head coach
Al White. “I was impressed with her
toughness on the field and I think she will add that dimension to our team next
season.”
LaMilza
helped Regina High School to the Division I State Championship over the past two
seasons while earning All-League, All-Catholic, All-District and All-Region

LaMilza also
competes on the varsity ice hockey team at Regina. She has earned three
varsity letters and was named to the All-Academic team as a junior. She is
also a member of the National Honor Society and regular member of the Honor
Roll.
The St. Clair Shores, Michigan native will be majoring in Chemistry and Forensic
Science at Madonna University.
Last season, Madonna
completed its season with a 35-15 overall record and a 10-9 mark in the
