Aaron Cheesman stayed in the
top-10, firing an 82 on day two at the USF
Invite to place ninth. The Madonna men's
linksters finished the tournament in seventh as
conditions turned for the worse on Saturday as
wind and rain caused a jump in scores across the
board.

unveiled plans today (April 8) to begin
accepting nominations for its first full Hall of
Fame class, to be inducted in January 2009.

meritorious service.

The Madonna softball team split
its final games of its stay at the 2008 Tucson
Invitational. Dickinson State roughed up the
Crusaders to the tune of a 5-0 loss in the day's
opener, but a strong outing from freshman Jess
Irwin got the Crusaders a 6-0 win over Mayville
State in the night cap. MU ends the trip at 8-4
and will be back in action this Saturday with a
double header at Shawnee State.

MU softball team split a pair of games in Tucson,
Arizona, falling 1-0 to Peru State and defeating
Trinity International 19-6 in the nightcap.
Tedi Johnston went 3-4 with two stolen bases,
two RBIs and three runs scored in the offensive
outburst of game two. Liz Ballinger earned
the win in the circle while Jess Irwin took the
hard-luck loss in game one, scattering four hits
with eight strikeouts over seven innings of

Crusader softball team dropped both of its games
on Monday at the Tucson Invitational. MU fell
6-1 to #14 William Penn in the opener and
dropped the night cap 9-7 to the University of
Great Falls. Brittney Scero went 2-for-4 with a
double and a run scored and Christian Finch was
2-for-3 in the opener. Kathleen Smiley
(pictured) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a
homer while Cat Sidor was 3-for-4 in the second
game of the day for MU. The Crusaders continue
play on Tuesday with games against Peru State

Invitational, downing
Waynesburg 13-2 behind Michelle

Ballinger improved to 3-0 on the season with her
complete game win in MU's 13-3 downing of Minot
