Darrel Quinn
(Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville HS) and senior forward
Pat Griffin
(Redford, Mich./Catholic Central HS) were both named as
recipients of the 2006 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American awards.
Quinn also earned mention as a member of the 2006 NAIA Daktronics
Scholar-Athlete team.
Griffin led the Crusaders in total points, racking up 27 during the
season with a team high 10 goals along with seven assists, while
finishing second overall in the race for the conference scoring
title.
Griffin tallied four game winning goals, including the game winner
against Siena Heights in the conference semifinals, while seeing
action in 18 of MU's 19 contests this year.
Quinn anchored the Crusaders midfield during the season, playing in
18 of Madonna's 19 games.
Quinn scored three goals and added two assists for a total of eight
points while helping Madonna to a regional semifinal appearance.
The Crusaders finished the season with a 11-6-2 mark overall and
finished second overall in the conference standings with a 7-4-1
record.
