CALEDONIA, Mich.

Kristofer Lyons
(Walled Lake, MI/Walled Lake Central HS) recorded a clean sheet
with five saves as Madonna defeated Davenport, 2-0, on Saturday
afternoon in Caledonia.
After a scoreless first half, the Crusaders broke through in the
53rd minute after
Pat Griffin
(Redford, MI/Catholic Central HS) netted his sixth goal of
the season off an assist from
Doron Drai
(Kfar Yona, Israel/Oakland University).
Madonna's second and final goal of the match came off an own goal by
Davenport at the 84:18 mark of the second half.
Madonna improves to 6-1-2 overall and 4-1-1 in league play.
The Crusaders hold a one point lead over Cornerstone heading into
next Wednesday's (Oct. 4) matchup with the Golden Eagles at
Greenmead Field.
