Senior Griffin Named Region VIII and WHAC Player of the Week

		Pat Griffin netted three goals in MU's 4-1 win over Indiana Tech en route to Player of the Week honors.

LIVONIA, Mich. --  Madonna senior forward Pat Griffin (Redford, MI/Catholic Central HS) has been named NAIA Region VIII Men's Soccer Player of the Week for September 25, 2006, in a press release by the NAIA on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier in the week, Griffin was also named WHAC Player of the Week.

Griffin led the Crusaders to a perfect 2-0 mark on the week, including a 6-1 win over Siena Heights on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Sept. 20, Griffin posted a hat trick in the Crusaders 4-1 win over Indiana Tech at Greenmead Field.

Griffin currently leads Madonna (5-1-2) in goals (5) and total points (13).

The Madonna men's soccer team will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30, as the Crusaders travel to Grand Rapids and look to even the season series against Davenport at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
