Crusaders Down Tech For Third WHAC Win
MU gets goals from four different players in victory

FORT WAYNE, Ind.The Madonna men’s team took to the road for the second straight match, this time to the Hoosier state and came away with a 4-0 win over Indiana Tech. MU (5-2-2; 3-1-1 WHAC) got goals from four different Crusaders in the win over Tech (2-6-0; 0-4-0).

Emilio Giorgi got the ball rolling for the Crusaders, scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Giorgi's score proved to be the game winner as Kris Lyons made three saves in posting his fourth shut out of the season.

The match stayed 1-0 in favor of Madonna until the 58th minute when newcomer Makesi Lewis took a pass from Chris Lafontaine and buried his shot in the back netting, giving MU a 2-0 lead.

Goal number three came from senior captain Darrel Quinn in the 65th minute as he took a pass from fellow senior Pat Kolodziejczak and made the most of it for his team leading fourth goal of the season.

Freshman Daniel Amaya capped the Madonna scoring effort with his second career score, this one off of a T.J. Djkocic pass in the 88th minute to send the Crusaders home with a 4-0 win.

Madonna returns home on Saturday as part of a soccer double header at Greenmead Field. The MU women's team takes on Siena Heights at 12 pm with the men also facing off with SHU in a 2:30pm kickoff.
