Crusaders Down Alma 76-66 At Home

Cedric Sims (pictured)
scored 12 points and was one of four Crusaders in double figures as Madonna took down Alma 76-66 in Livonia on Tuesday night. With the win MU is now 4-6 on the season and travels to Chicago to take part in the St. Xavier Tournament this weekend.  BOX SCORE

Battle Picks Up Second Player Of The Week Award

MU senior guard Jon Battle was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks on Monday (Dec. 3). Battle averaged just under 21 points, five rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last week for the Crusaders.

The Madonna University men's basketball program received today (Friday, May 18) a Letter of Intent from their fifth high school standout for the 2007-08 season, Canton high school big man Ryan Waidmann.  Waidmann joins Gordie Hyde, a 6-9 center from Richland, Mich.; Tyler Coker, a 6-5 guard from Whitmore Lake, Mich.; Geoff Gaylor, a 6-9 center/forward from Roscommon, Mich.; and Josh Gay, a 6-0 guard from Woodlan, Ind.  MORE
