Bridges Repeats as First Team All-WHAC, Six
Crusaders Honored in All
In a
vote of the eight Conference coaches, Madonna
senior forward D.J. Bridges was selected as a
repeat member to the All-WHAC first team in a
statement released today. Bridges is one
of six Crusaders honored, joining second team
selection Jon Battle, third teamer Charlie Henry
and All-Newcomer selection Cedric Sims.

Named WHAC Player Of The Week
It was announced by the
conference office on Monday that Madonna senior
guard Jon Battle (Cleveland, Ohio)
was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic
Conference Player of the Week for the week
ending Feb. 17. The award marks the fourth time
this season Battle has been honored by the
league.

A career best 30 points and 14 rebounds from
Jon Battle (Cleveland, Ohio) helped

visiting Concordia (10-18; 6-6 WHAC) on Saturday
inside the Activities Center. The win -
Madonna’s 17th overall and ninth in
WHAC play – establishes a new school record for
conference wins for the Crusaders.

The Madonna University men’s basketball team
completed the season sweep of the University of
Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday night with a
72-63 win inside the Activities Center. The win
- MU’s 15th of the year - establishes
a new school record for wins in a season. The
old record of 14 was set during the 2002-03
