Hot Shooting by Pilots Halts MU Win Streak

Adam Kerfoot dished out a team high seven assists in MU's 91-69 loss on Monday night.

LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Madonna men's basketball team ran into a hot shooting Bethel team on Monday night as the Pilots shot .633 (38-of-60) from the floor in a convincing 91-69 win over the Crusaders at the Activities Center.

The Pilots (6-5) dominated the inside game scoring 50 points in the paint, including a game high 22 points from William Walker.

Junior forward
DJ Bridges (Canton, Mich./Canton HS) was limited to just 13 points and two rebounds in 25 minutes of action for Madonna (3-7).

Senior forward
Derrick Mudri (Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville HS) led the Crusaders on the boards with six rebounds to go along with his seven points and senior guard Adam Kerfoot (Gaylord, Mich./St. Mary HS) dished out a team high seven assists in the losing effort for MU.

The Crusaders shot just .404 (23-of-57) from the floor in the contest and trailed 47-31 at the half.  However, Madonna shot a season high .882 (15-of-17) from the charity stripe, including a perfect four-of-four night by Kerfoot.

The Crusaders will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 6 in a non-conference tilt at Rochester.  The Crusaders and Warriors will meet up at Rochester High School for a 7:00 p.m. (ET) tip off.
