Chuck Henry almost guided the Crusaders to an upset win over Olivet Nazarene on Saturday.

CHICAGO, Ill. -- 18th-ranked Olivet Nazarene avoided an upset bid by Madonna after holding on to an 84-73 win in the third game of the 2nd Annual Robert Morris Classic at the Loyola Gentile Center on Saturday afternoon.

Madonna (1-6) erased an 11-point first half lead by Olivet Nazarene (3-3), including nine straight points by senior guard
Adam Kerfoot (Gaylord, Mich./St. Mary HS).  The Crusaders first half scoring spurt included a 16-5 run, which saw MU take a 36-34 lead late in the first half.  ONU

The Crusaders were led by Kerfoot's 16 points in the first half and 11 points from
D.J. Bridges (Canton, Mich./Canton HS).  Bridges, MU's leading scorer this season, was held scoreless until 10 minutes into the first half.

Bridges finished the game by leading all scorers with 33 points in the contest.  Kerfoot was limited to just one point in the second half and finished the game with 17 points.

Madonna also battled back in the second half, again trailing by 11 points, to pull within three points with under three minutes in the game.  Olivet Nazarene again started to build a lead with a pair of lay ups followed by several free throws down the stretch to claim an eight-point advantage (81-73).

The Tigers added another free throw and a put back off a missed free throw try to finish off the contest with an 84-73 decision.

Madonna finishes the weekend with back-to-back losses to ranked teams according to the NAIA Division I preseason poll.

Madonna will return to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 28 in a non-conference match up at Olivet.  The Crusaders and the Comets are scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. (ET)
