Bridges Earns POW Honor from League Office
LIVONIA, Mich. -- The first weekly basketball awards were announced for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference today with Madonna University cagers sweeping the honors. D.J. Bridges and Martina Franklin are the first two to take home Player of the Week accolades.
Bridges, a
junior forward from Canton, Michigan averaged 22.7 points and
6.7 rebounds in three games for the Crusaders. Despite the team
going 0-3 on the week, Bridges was the bright spot, with
back-to-back 28 point performances against Goshen and Taylor Ft.
Wayne over the weekend. He also connected on 59-percent of his
field goals.
