DJ Bridges

LIVONIA, Mich. -- Madonna University junior DJ Bridges (Canton, Mich./Canton HS) was named to the 2007 NAIA Division II men's basketball All-America team in a statement released by the NAIA today (March 15,2007).

Bridges helped guide the Crusaders to a 12-19 overall record this season and a fourth place finish in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).

A first-team all-conference selection, Bridges averaged a team-high 19.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

He recorded the fifth best offensive season in school history by scoring 554 points during the year.  His remarkable junior campaign left him just five points short of the 1,000 career-point mark.

Bridges also moved into eighth all-time on the MU career rebounds list (449).  The 6-3 forward posted four double-double efforts this season and set career bests in 10 individual categories.

Bridges is one of five WHAC players on the NAIA All-America squad for 2007, led by first-team selection John Jonker of Cornerstone University.
