LIVONIA, Mich. - A 28-9 second half run by the Crusaders erased a 16-point lead by Concordia as Madonna went on to an 81-73 win over the visiting Cardinals Wednesday night at the Activities Center.

Senior guard
Adam Kerfoot (Gaylord, Mich./St. Mary HS) scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half and junior forward D.J. Bridges (Canton, Mich./Canton HS) scored 10 of his 18 points, including back-to-back three-point baskets in the final 20 minutes of action for Madonna (8-15; 4-3 WHAC).

During Madonna's improbable comeback, the Crusaders held Concordia (11-10; 5-2 WHAC) to just one field goal over a eight-minute span to pull ahead with a two-point lead.

Madonna would stretch their lead to as much as 10-points in the final seven minutes to hand Concordia their second straight loss in conference play.

The Crusaders shot 43-percent (29-of-68) from the floor, including 36-percent (8-of-22) from behind the three-point line in the contest and outrebounded the Cardinals 39-31.  Madonna also forced 14 Concordia turnovers, including eight in second half action.

Concordia shot 54-percent (30-of-56) from the field, but shot just 23-percent (3-of-13) from beyond the arc.  Senior guard Nate Ashcraft led the Cardinals with 26 points and five assists in a losing effort.

Madonna senior forward
Derrick Mudri (Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville HS) posted a double-double after scoring 12 points and collecting 11 rebounds.  Senior forward Doug Creighton (Taipei, Taiwan/Detroit Catholic Central HS) also chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds for the Crusaders.
