ADRIAN, Mich. - Junior guard Charlie Henry (Canton, Mich./Agape Christian Academy) buried a three-pointer with just under a minute to play in regulation which gave the Crusaders a lead they would never relinquish in a 73-66 win over Siena Heights Saturday night in Adrian.

The Crusaders (7-15; 3-3 WHAC) trailed 34-32 at the half and faced an eight-point deficit in the second half before fighting back to overcome the host Saints (5-16; 2-4 WHAC).

Junior forward
D.J. Bridges (Canton, Mich./Canton HS) carried Madonna with his second double-double of the season after posting 27 points and 14 boards.  Freshman forward Nick Bortz (Walled Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Northern HS) recorded a career high 14 points on six-of-nine shooting against the Saints, all of which came in the second half.

Henry chipped in with 12 points, including the big three-pointer and a pair of free throws which helped seal the win for the Crusaders.

Madonna shot 38-percent (23-of-60) from the floor, including just 23-percent (5-of-22) from beyond the arc.  Siena Heights connected on 43-percent (23-of-54) of their shots, including 41-percent (7-of-17) from behind the three-point line.  Each team committed 14 turnovers and MU outrebounded the Saints, 45-30.
