Jon Jaciuk has signed
to play basketball at
Madonna starting this Fall.
LIVONIA,
Mich. -
- Head men’s basketball coach Chuck Henry announced his first
signing for the class of 2012 today. Jon Jaciuk
(Southgate, Mich.) from Southgate Anderson has singed a letter
of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Madonna
University this Fall.
“We are
very pleased to sign a player of Jon’s quality to open our recruiting class,”
commented Henry. “He is a true ‘gym rat’ in that he loves to be in the gym
working to get better. He sees the floor very well and will help to ease the
loss of some of our guards from this past season. He will fit in very well with
the returning players we have as well.”
Jaciuk
was an all-conference selection for the Titans in the MEGA Conference as a
senior. The 5-11 standout averaged 11 points, six assists, four rebounds and two
steals per game for head coach Dave Fast. Jaciuk, who plans to study nursing at
MU, is also a four-year member of the honor roll at Anderson.
The
Crusaders are coming off the most successful season in school history and
advanced to the WHAC semi-finals for the second time in program history.
